Privacy notice

Hive collects personal information in order to answer enquiries, arrange viewings and assess rental applications. This notice explains what we collect, why, and what you can ask us to do about it.
What we collect
- Contact details you give us: name, email address, telephone number.
- Enquiry details: the room type you are interested in, your intended move-in date and length of stay, and anything you write in a message field.
- For applications only: proof of identity, proof of enrolment or employment, and the information needed to prepare a tenancy agreement.
- Basic technical information from your browser, used to keep the site working.
Why we hold it
To reply to you, to arrange a viewing, to assess an application, and to prepare and manage a tenancy if you become a resident. We do not sell personal information and we do not share it with advertisers.
Who else sees it
Only the service providers we need in order to operate: an email delivery service, our leasing and property management system, and — if you become a resident — our payment processor. Each is bound by contract to use the information only for the service they provide to us.
How long we keep it
Enquiries and unsuccessful applications are deleted after twelve months. Tenancy records are kept for the period required by Ontario law after a tenancy ends.
Your rights
Under Canadian privacy law you can ask what we hold about you, ask us to correct it, and ask us to delete it where we are not required to keep it. Write to live@hiveresidences.com and we will respond within thirty days.
Cookies
This site sets no advertising or tracking cookies. Fonts are loaded from Google Fonts and map tiles from OpenStreetMap; both receive your IP address as part of serving those files.
